Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Meat Cutter to join our team. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting various types of meat products in accordance with food safety standards. This is a vital role in our production facility.
Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, and prepare different cuts of meat according to company specifications
- Adhere to proper food handling and safety guidelines to ensure the highest level of sanitation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat preparation area
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding supply needs
- Assist in receiving and inspecting meat deliveries for quality and accuracy
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency in product quality
- Operate and maintain meat processing equipment, including knives, grinders, and slicers
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and different cuts of meat
- Experience working in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or culinary setting
- Proficient knife skills and ability to handle sharp objects safely
- Understanding of food safety regulations and ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate portioning and presentation of meat products
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
